Nous avons passé une soirée au pub un vendredi soir. La rue plutôt calme en journée, le soir s'anime de locaux et de touristes venus faire la fête. Idéal pour une soirée entre amis et faire des rencontres du monde entier. Prix corrects et large sélection de boissons. Hemos comido el pan tipico de aqui (bolo de caco), lapaz grelhadas, espetada de fillete, crema de verduras y lomo with hot plate. Para mi pan y espetada eran lis mejores, igual como carne para mi marido. No me gustaron mucho los molluscos, pero fue un experimento para mi, creo que soy mas carnivora. Al final nos regalaron dos chupitos de vino tipico de aqui, fue un gesto muy amable, vino está dulce, buena eleccion en vez de postre ~ Palina M

Bili nas troje za St. Patrick. Upoznali dosta domaćih ljudi koji su bili predivni i smješni. Uz njih upoznali dosta drugih turista iz ostalih zemalja koje nisu Hrvatska. Konobar Edgar legenda ako čita ovo puno ga pozdravljam. ~ Marijan O

Visiting Madeira from Canada, we popped by popular local Irish bar before reservations we had elsewhere. Edgar (Eddie) made us immediately feel at home. The vibe was super fun and chill, incredible drinks that were reasonably price. The night turned into the best music, the best sing along with a large group of people from all over the world. If you’re considering whether to visit here, don’t, just come. You’ll be happy you did. ~ Chad H

Ein Stück Irland in Funchal! Gestern Abend entdeckten wir dieses Juwel in Funchal. Die authentische irische Atmosphäre lässt einen sofort wohlfühlen. Der absolute Höhepunkt war jedoch die Gin-Auswahl und die fachkundige Beratung des Barkeepers. Er nahm sich Zeit, uns durch die verschiedenen Gin-Sorten zu führen und kreierte einen erstklassigen Gin Tonic, der unsere Erwartungen übertraf. Die Kombination aus gemütlichem Ambiente, exzellentem Service und hervorragenden Getränken macht diesen Irish Pub zu einem Muss für jeden Funchal-Besucher. After a frustrating start to my day in Madeira with a scammy taxi driver! I stumbled upon a charming Irish bar where the bartender, Martha, turned me and my entire family's whole experience around with her warm, friendly demeanor and exceptional service. My wife never likes to stay at a bar but this time she did and we had a great time! I wish the rest of the street had the same standards as the Irish bar... ~ Klinton W

Lovely wee Irish pub down on the prom. It's not very big inside but the drinks are reasonably priced. Try their whiskey sour, it went down a treat. The servers were polite, prompt, well presented, and very friendly, even giving us information on their sister bar, 23 Vintage bar, and the different types of drinks they can do and what type of music they play and the typical age of the people that go. ~ Berglas71

Discovered this place this week when arrived in Funchal on Monday (2/3/20) and we visited there again last night. Everything very clean and tidy. Bar staff, helpful, friendly and had good knowledge about local products. I don't recall seeing a food menu, therefore not sure whether food is served there at any time of day. I expect we will call in there again before we return home. ~ Jay T

If you ever find yourself fortunate enough to grace this fine establishment, make sure to ask for Edgar. The man is a master mixer and makes the best Caipirinhas you’ll ever have. His fellow barman Markus on the other hand, should stick to pulling pints as he shakes cocktails as well as I shake my bunda on a Saturday night… nice guys though and a top bar. 5 stars all round ~ Thomas

Amazing pub with a great atmosphere and even better service! Edgar as a staff was perfect — he was an outstanding bartender, super friendly, attentive, and made our evening even better. This was a fantastic find. We were made to feel welcome from day one. All of the staff (Edgar, Martha and Veronica) are amazing hosts and made our holiday a great fun experience! Stopped in while on a cruise stop in Funchal and loved it! Super friendly staff, cold beers, and a great spot to catch the game or just relax for a bit. The atmosphere was welcoming and fun, and it’s only a short walk from the port. Exactly the kind of place you hope to find when exploring a new city, would definitely come back on our next visit. ~ Martin R

Was looking for a spot to have a beer and check out the Formula 1 race at the same time and there are not a lot of options along the Av do Mar. Most of the restaurants with terraces are broadcasting football. The bar was authentic and the beer was cheap! ~ Mircea C
